Aileen Virginia Bray Chaffee, 86, of Daytona Beach, passed away Sunday on May 10, 2015 surrounded by her family and caregivers. Aileen was born in Bunnell on October 7, 1928, the daughter of Margaret and William Bray. After graduating from Mainland High School in 1946, where she was a cheerleader, basketball player, and avid swimmer, she was employed by First Atlantic National Bank and most recently Thad Construction Co. Aileen is fondly remembered as a loving wife, devoted friend to many, sister and aunt. Until her illness, she was an active church member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Port Orange. Most recently, she attended Daytona Pentecostal. Her kind spirit and fun loving attitude will be missed by many. Aileen was blessed with faithful caregivers Claudia Campos and Shirley Galilea. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Gill and Duke Chaffee, the love of her life and husband for 31 years; sisters Mildred Warrington and M.E. Sizemore; and nephew Bill Sizemore. She is survived by her brother Louis William Bray (Kathyrn) of Ormond Beach, nieces Kelly Bray Bodiford (Mack) of Winter Springs, Alana Arnold of Winter Springs, Tori Sizemore Lehman (Hans) of Lakeland, Sloan Sizemore of Tampa, Christy Sizemore, nephews Dick Sizemore (Kathi) of Edgewater, Trey Sizemore (Amy) of New Smyrna Beach, Bill Sizemore, Jr. of Tampa, Allen Arnold (Kerrianne) of Lake Mary, Ross Bray (Rose) of Port Orange, Bill Bray of Ormond Beach, Bray Sipley and Nathan Key of Winter Springs, and Forrest "Nubs" Chaffee (Pam) of Michigan. The Celebration of Aileen's Life will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Convenant United Methodist Church, 3701 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Florida.
