Obituary

Allen Wayne Huffman

It is in deep sadness to say our Lord called Allen home to heaven on August 26, 2021.  After a long illness, he went home in the ICU, Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, FL, with family at his side.

Pre-deceasing him was his mother, Debbie R. Huffman, 2016, brother Charlie F. Huffman, 2018, grandparents Gladys and Herbert Shelton, Pearl and Ralph Huffman, Aunt Gemma Soto, Aunt Billie Sue and Uncle Dick Dorfner, cousins Mike and Mac Dorfner (twins, FL).

Born A pril 8, 1965 at Ft. Campbell, KY and raised in a Christian home in Arizona; Allen is survived by his Dad, Don R. Huffman, Sr., sister Daphne Sheets, brother-in-law Floyd Sheets, daughter Hannah Leigh Huffman (AZ), aunt Sally Shelton (TX).  Also surviving are Aunt Shirley and Uncle Jack Partin (KY), half-brother Don Huffman, Jr., half-sister Cindi Huffman (TN), many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.

Allen lived in Peoria, AZ until he moved to Port Orange to be with his family.  He had many talents: construction, welding, auto mechanics, etc.  He helped build All-Aboard Storage Complex in Port Orange and his last employment was ASAP Gutter Fascia Soffit LLC in Port Orange.  With his talents he loved to be everyone's handyman, and could never say "no".  He would go out of his way to help anyone.

Allen was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Kentucky Wildcats fan.  He loved sports, played Pop Warner football, Little League baseball, and became a good golfer.  Fishing, hunting, camping and boating he loved.  He got his love for music from his Mother and played the guitar.  His favorite music was Classic Country, Classic Rock, and Gospel.  His favorite artists were Waylon, Willie, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar, Van Halen, and George Jones.

Allen's most enjoyable times were with family, friends, and drinking a beer.  We were a closely knit family and when God called his mother and brother home, it hurt Allen deeply.  Allen will surely be missed and never be forgotten by his family and so many friends.

Allen is at peace, now, in Heaven.
