Born June 26, 1983, in Volusia County, Amanda was the daughter of Stanley A. VanHorn and Edna I. VanHorn of Port Orange. Amanda was a kind and loving young woman. She loved her family, and especially her daughter Madison. She adored her pet dog Mocha, whom recently passed away. Amanda was sarcastically funny and she was so full of light that was unfortunately dimmed by the struggles she fought daily. She had a desire to overcome her struggles and spread hope for those who were lost. She wanted to proudly be a broken Vessel. Her friends have recently shared how Amanda was their strength in times of trouble. Her heart was so good, but her body was weak. God rescued her from this world. Her suffering is over. God is saying,
"She is of better service to Him with wings."
Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Barbara and Charles Devaney and her paternal grandparents, Mary and Henry VanHorn.
In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by her beautiful daughter Madison, two brothers, Stanley Allen VanHorn of Port Orange, Jacob A. Haynes of Colorado Springs, Co; two sisters, Brandy Bollotta of Port Orange and Connie VanHorn of North Carolina. Four nieces, Bella Bollotta, Annalise McCall, Ansley and Stella Willard; four nephews, George VanHorn, Jackson and Jayden Willard and Jacob Bollotta; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

"When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today;
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you;
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart."
