Anita Solana Holm, 82, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2019, at Port Orange Nursing and Rehab Center under Hospice care in Port Orange, Florida. Anita was born in Port Orange, FL on July 5, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Randall & Edna Solana; also by her brother, Richard Solana. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, George M. Holm; her daughters, Linda Grande (Doni) and Sandra Simpson (Scott); three grandchildren, Lydia Grande, Elias Grande and Nathaniel Grande.

Anita's home was on Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange. She attended Port Orange Elementary. Anita met her future husband, George, in the 6th grade. George had just moved to Port Orange from Huntington, Long Island, New York. They attended school together until they both graduated in 1954 from the original Mainland High School on Bay Street in Daytona Beach. They were married in 1956. Anita worked at Florida Bank and Trust for six years as secretary to the bank president. Later, she worked for 17 years as a secretary for the Minister of Music, Tom Lynn, at First Baptist Church, Daytona Beach. Anita enjoyed sewing,  cross-stitch, photography and jigsaw puzzles. She also loved owls and butterflies.

Arrangements entrusted to Cardwell Baggett & Summers Funeral Home and Crematory. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Port Orange, 316 Church Street, Port Orange, FL 32127, in her honor Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Mark Malcolm officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Memory of Anita may be made to First Baptist Church of Port Orange.
