Anthony P. Zampanti, 91, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL 32129. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Anthony had many passions and hobbies. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, yard work, gardening, traveling, driving any of his 41 new Cadillac's, but none more important than his family and music. Anthony taught music, owned and operated his own studio for over 50 years. Playing and teaching music came easy to him growing up in a musical family in Providence, Rhode Island. His music and family guided him from Rhode Island, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Daytona Beach. God blessed everyone who came in contact with this wonderful, kind, and generous gentleman. No matter playing music, making his own wine, helping the power squadron or just being a kind neighbor, Anthony made sure to leave a positive impression and a wonderful smile. Anthony was a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council 8791 and proudly served in the United States Navy. Those left to cherish Anthony's memory are his wife Maida Zampanti; daughters, Sheila Sterling, Kathy Cox; brother, Gabriel Zampanti; sister, Anna and Armand Gregorio; step-children, Rebecca Watson, Jennifer and Donald Heatwole, Sara and Shawn Pack; Grandchildren, Michael Derobbrio, Nick and Amy Sterling, Henry and Tammy Sterling, David Newton, Debbie Newton, David and Sarah Pendegrast and many great-grandchildren.
