Arlene W. Brennan, 100, of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Southampton, MA, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at Halifax Health Medical Center of Port Orange, FL with her daughter, Pamela, by her side. She was born on May 16, 1925, to Harold C. Wellington and Dorothy Farrar Wellington in Dover, ME.
Arlene attended the Elliot Hospital School of Nursing in Manchester, NH and graduated in 1948 as a Registered Nurse. After graduation, she was assigned to the Northampton VA Medical Center in Leeds, MA, where she worked until 1958. She married Robert E. Brennan on December 27, 1948. They had three children: Kathleen (Kevin) Priest of Swanton, VT; Pamela (David) Petronino of Port Orange, FL; and Stephen (Diane) Brennan of Easthampton, MA.
Arlene is survived by her daughters; son; brother, Donald (Nora) Wellington; sister, Leone (Rich) Adler; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mildred (Dick) Meech; son-in-law, David Petronino; and many friends and relatives.
A Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127, (386) 999-4887. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at The Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St, Port Orange, FL 32127. Interment will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 320 White St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St, Port Orange, FL 32127 in Arlene's memory. Checks should be made out to The Catholic Church of the Epiphany with "Arlene Brennan, for the needy" in the memo section.
