Obituary

Longtime resident, Beatrice "Beatty" H. Stitz, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on February 25, 2017.
Beatty was born in Willow Gove, Pennsylvania on July 17, 1926 to Abigail and Harry Hudnit.
Beatty was an educator, world traveler, and sincere lover of life! She adored her family, and especially her grand-children. Beatty counted her friends some of her greatest treasures - especially her card playing companions. Beatty loved to laugh and spent years making every work environment fun. She continued to work after retiring because she loved the activity and the friends that she made.
Beatty spent a few years in Arizona and then moved to Port Orange, Florida where she became an active member of her church and a devoted volunteer. She also became a member of Port Orange Recreational Travel, Inc. (PORT), allowing her to fulfil even more of her travel goals. Beatty travelled extensively and could recount stories of flying in hot air balloons in Australia, taking in the fjords of Norway, traversing icebergs in Alaska, and rejuvenating her soul at Vatican City in Rome. Wherever she was in the world, Beatty brought an open mind and a beautiful smile.
Beatty is survived by her children, Pamela Irvin, Frank P. Dunham, Jr., Helen Hornbuckle and husband Blaine, and grandchildren, Benjamin Dunham, Alex Dunham, Colin McDermott and wife Carmen, and Hannah Hornbuckle.
Beatty was preceded in death by husband, Frank P. Dunham, Sr., second husband, Dalton A. Stitz, and son-in-law Richard "Rick" Irvin.
Beatty will be deeply missed by her family and countless friends.
