Obituary
She was a retired school teacher from Castleton before escaping New York winters to live in Florida.
She married her husband Larry (Joe) Hammond on July 17, 2005 and the two of them would return to New York in the summers to escape the hurricanes and visit family and friends. They enjoyed dining out every day and going to casinos until their health declined and the casinos stopped paying out.
She is survived by her husband Larry and her daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Ken Brooks of Albany, NY and several nieces and nephews.
An informal sharing with the family will be held on July 19, 2018 at the Halifax Health Hospice Chapel, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, from 5-7 pm eulogy at 6:15.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hospice.
