Sadly on Friday, June 22nd, 2012, Betty Ann Klock Rose passed away at Halifax Medical Center. She was 88 years old; with all of those years spent here in the Daytona Beach area. She was born on June 17th, 1924, at the home of her parents Dr. Guy and Willie Klock of 210 South Street. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years William J. Rose and her eldest daughter Sharon Marie Rose (Yates).
She was a graduate of Mainland High School and a proud member of the Class of 1942; never missing a class reunion. She completed nurse's training at Mary Karl Vocational School, a part of DBCC.
She was a nurse at Halifax Hospital for more than twenty years. She worked during that time in the pediatric and obstetrics/gynecology departments. In addition to nursing she was active in the PTA, Girl Scouts, DAR, UDC, Halifax Historical Society, and Sunday School at Central Baptist Church.
She will be greatly missed by her children, two daughters: Candace Rose Newton (her caregiver) of Ormond Beach and Linda Rose Jones of Port Orange, and her loving son: William Guy Rose of Lake Mary. She also leaves behind her grandsons: Michael, Matthew, and Mark Jones, David Newton, and Ryan and Chris Miller. They kept her busy with baseball, basketball, soccer, and her favorite sport: football. She loved to cheer those boys on through the years.

Arrangements are being made under the direction of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family at .
Sunset and evening star
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For though from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar
