Betty was predeceased by her first husband Donald E Nicholson and her second husband Billy Ray McCormick.
Betty lived a long, happy, and interesting life. She had many friends and family whom she loved dearly. She loved to travel and last year was excited to be able to travel to Maryland to attend her oldest great granddaughter's wedding. She enjoyed keeping in touch with her many nieces and nephews via Face Book, email, and text messages.
Betty attended Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD. She had a career of over 20 years in the banking industry at County Federal Savings and Loan in Rockville, MD.
Betty retired and moved from Gaithersburg, MD, to Port Orange, FL, with her second husband, in December of 1987. She loved living in Florida.
Betty was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange and numerous organizations, including Fraternal Order of Eagles #4089 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW # 3282 Women's Auxiliary, and Senior Citizens of Daytona Beach Shores. She was the founding member of the Maryland Club, a social club for anyone from Maryland now living in Florida. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Mah Jong.
Prior to moving to Florida, Betty had been a long time, active member of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) at the State and local (Rockville) levels and the Gaithersburg Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Betty's daughters would like to acknowledge and give thanks to Betty's special friends and neighbors Phyllis Doran White and Jan Pluskwa for all the love and care they have given to BJ over the years.
A memorial service will be scheduled in Maryland at a later date. It was Betty's request that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
