Betty Jo Murphy Pace, 89, of Holly Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 17, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00PM on Friday August 21, 2015 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home, Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach. A Visitation will be held from 12:00PM til the service begins. Burial will follow the service in Daytona Memorial Park. Betty Jo was born on January 27, 1926 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Thomas and Willie Cheek. A homemaker, she was a member of Church of God. She was a devoted Christian wife, beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baseball, dolls, collecting antiques and her children. She is survived by her two daughters, Karla Jo Murphy of Blountville, TN and Patricia (Jimmy) DeLavega of Clarksville, TN; son, Robert (Amanda) Murphy of Holly Hill; step-son, Mike Pace of Port Orange; two half-sisters, Sue Fowler of Denison, TX and Kaye Cheek Reese of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Mary E. Cook of Port Orange and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Bob Murphy and George Pace as well as her three sisters, Grace, Edna and Marie and her son, William Lee Murphy.
