Bobby Ray Fuller, 85, of Port Orange, Florida passed away Monday, June 22, 2026. He was born on March 16, 1941, in River Falls, Alabama. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and afterwards began a career in law enforcement that spanned 48 years. After 30 years at the Marietta Police Department, he retired as a Major. Public service was something he couldn’t stay away from, so the remainder of his career he served as the Chief of Police at Acworth Police Department, then as the Assistant Chief of Police at Holly Springs Police Department. Bobby served his country and community, but his pride was his family. He cherished every moment. He was an example of integrity, he was strict, but he was respected by his colleagues, friends, and family. His example demonstrated what unconditional, selfless love means. He didn’t just say words, he lived them. Every night he would text his girls to let them know he loved them. His attention and prioritization has demonstrated his love.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Joy Fuller; daughter, Debra Lynn Hathaway (husband, Mike Hathaway); son, Jacob Martin (wife, Jasmine Martin); daughter, Tabitha Mayo (husband, Joe Mayo); son, Joshua Martin (wife, Alicia Martin); brother, Johnny Fuller (wife, Annette Fuller); granddaughter, Brittany Ricardo (husband, Felipe Ricardo); granddaughter, Taylor Hathaway; grandson, Chase Grizzle; granddaughter, Savanna Isaac (husband, Daniel Isaac); grandson, Kolby Martin; grandson, Alex Martin; grandson, Austin Mayo; granddaughter, Jadie Mayo; granddaughter, Ellie Mayo; grandson, Toby Martin; grandson, Avery Martin; great grandchildren, Bella, Sofia, and Hunter; and other extended family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1pm at the Crane Lakes Ball Room located at 1850 Crane Lakes Blvd., Port Orange, Florida 32128. He will be interred privately at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, located in Mims, Florida where he will be honored in perpetuity with those who chose the call to serve. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cardwell, Baggett, & Summers Funeral Home, Edgewater, Florida.
