Brenda J. Byers, 71 of Orange City, Florida went home to rest in Jesus land on January 23, 2020. She was born April 10, 1948 in Washington D.C to the late Everette and Mary Jones. Brenda worked 39 years for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. In 2004, she retired and moved to Debary, Florida where she enjoyed the sunshine and relaxed lifestyle. Brenda was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Lynette Jones, sister, Priscilla Y. Parks, brothers, Everette Jones, Jr. and Theodore M. Jones. She is survived by her brother, Ronald R. Jones, Sr., sisters, Vivian Jones Robinson, Kathleen Pate, Athleen Jones and Barbara Moorhead. Brenda is also survived by three nieces, Tonia Hawkins, Vernique Vivian Robinson and Mary Moorhead, nine nephews, Pernell Parks, Ronald R. Jones, Jr., Brian Parks, James Moorhead, Robert Moorhead, Vashann and Vashawn Robinson. Special friend and caregiver, Paulina Batiste. She leaves behind a host of friends and family members.
