Brenda was born and raised in Bristol VA/TN but her life took her to many other places. She lived in Tennessee, Georgia, Iceland, and finally Florida. She worked many jobs to help support her family and often left one job and went straight to the next. She was a waitress, school bus driver, built custom gun parts, manufacturing, and retail sales. Mom loved being in the sun, she loved her friends, but most of all she loved her family! She found her true soul mate in Ronald Duncan (affectionately called Pops) and they married in 1977. You would be hard pressed to find two people more in love than these two. Pops passed away in 2013 and it left a huge hole in moms heart. Fueled by her love of the beach, mom moved to Florida shortly thereafter where she made many amazing friends. Mom made friends easily and when you became her friend you became part of her family. To be such a tiny woman she had a huge heart and spent much of her spare time volunteering and serving others. Mom was an excellent cook and everybody had a favorite dish that she was more than happy to provide at family functions, dinners, or just because. If you ever needed anything she would be there without hesitation or question. The world was a better place because of Brenda Duncan and she with be sorely missed!
