Brian passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 31, 2014 at the age of 37. Brian was born on March 13, 1977 and was raised in Port Orange attending Sugar Mill Elementary, Silver Sands and Spruce Creek High School. He is survived by his mother Debra Haller Gillis (Mike) of Port Orange. Three brothers, Robert McCall, (Jennifer) Port Orange, Dustin Gillis (Lori) of Fontana, California and Danny Gillis (Debbie), Port Orange, Grandfather James Haller (Faye), Port Orange, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian loved hunting, fishing, playing the base guitar, playing baseball with his brothers and friends and collecting baseball cards. He was always looking for ways to trade, buy or sell a special baseball card and he knew the history of the cards. He loved watching baseball games and his favorite team was the "Texas Rangers." He dreamed of being able to go to Texas to watch a home game. He had such a infectious laugh that whenever you heard him you felt his joy in your heart. Brian always saw the good in everyone and would do what he could to help. If someone asked for the shirt off his back he would give it to them and he did this so many times in his life. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL 32129. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home.
