Bruce Lee VanCauwenbergh, Sr., age 83 of Crescent City, FL died September 18, 2014 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. VanCauwenbergh was born on May 14, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Victor and Ora (Cowan) VanCauwenbergh. Bruce served in the U.S. Navy. He had several businesses during his adult life including an ice business, dry cleaning, sub shop, and his most loved was his Honda shop. Before his illness he enjoyed flying his own plane, riding motorcycles and square dancing. He will be sadly missed by his wife, of over 54 years Carolyn (Burnell) and his children Gary, Cathy and Bruce Jr (Diana). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Van Sickle and Bruce, III, 2 great grandchildren, Ava and Cayan and 2 sisters, Rosemary Griffin and Margie Miller.He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea.
