Carlos Fortich passed away on July 28, 2016 in Daytona, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Chata, his sister, Rise, and his two sons, Carlos and Tristan. He was the son of Carlos and Gladys Fortich.

Carlos was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and came to the US at the age of five. He studied at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida and served in the US Navy. A talented illustrator and artist, Carlos worked as a home designer for The Trails in Ormond Beach and Leete and Leete AIA Architects & Planners Inc. until his retirement in 2008.

Carlos enjoyed traveling within United States, Europe and South America. His most recent adventures included a family reunion in Salinas, Ecuador and visiting family and friends in Spain.
