Catherine A. Donner, 91, of Daytona Beach, passed away on January 1, 2015 at The Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center in Daytona Beach. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday January 5, 2015 in the Chapel at Cardwell Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held from 5:30PM til the service begins at 6:30 PM on Monday at the Funeral Home. Catherine was born on June 21, 1923 in Queens, NY. She was employed by the New York Stock Exchange and then she was employed by Sears in New York and in Daytona Beach for 20 years before retiring in 1984. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Albertina Reis and by her husband of 64 years, John C. Donner. Survivors include her son, Alan (Donna) of Roscoe, NY; daughter, Carol (Thomas) Youngman of Port Orange, FL; brother, Harold (Julie) Reis of NY; five grandchildren, Paul (Tina) Donner of Jacksonville, FL, Jason (Nina) Youngman of Palm Coast, FL, Jeffrey Youngman of Port Orange, FL, Amy (David Adorno) Youngman of Port Orange, FL and Michelle McCurry; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jasmine, Jordan, Brody, Katherine, Chloe, Joshua and Julyana. Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to Halifax Health Hospice Care of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, and Port Orange, FL 32129.
