(Rita) Colleen Bredow passed away at the age of 85 on December 26, 2014 at her winter residence in Daytona Beach, FL., after fighting a brief, but courageous and strong fight with lymphoma. She was cherished and adored by her husband of 65 years, Edward. She is survived by her children Christine Levi, Edward (Ellen) Bredow, Charissa (Scott) Shawcross, John (Kim) Bredow, Darlene (deceased) (Patrick) Weyburne, Eileen (Michael) Walsh and Jim Bredow. She was idolized by her grandchildren Linda Paul, Debbie Campbell, Jane Makuch, Michael (Tara) Kastura, Letitia (Michael) Fecher, Joshua (Janna) Weyburne, Cameron Shawcross, Jessica Weyburne, and Megan Shawcross; and great-grandchildren Courtney Paul; Robert, Matt and Scott Campbell; Tommy Weyburne and Sophie Kastura. Colleen was honored by her family during a private memorial service shortly after her death. Her cremated remains will forever be part of her favorite places, where she found comfort and peace while in life. Colleen was an advocate and life-long supporter of numerous organizations whose mission was to support underserved children and those battling cancer.
