Smith, Dorothy McCarty Dorothy McCarty Smith, 106, of Daytona Beach, passed away September 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Attlesey Smith, her parents Anthony James McCarty and Carrie Wishart McCarty, her brothers Anthony, Robert, and John, and her sister Carolyn. Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 28, 1909 and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School. She was an executive secretary for the Equitable Life & Casualty Insurance Company. She was a loving wife and daughter. For many years she was a devoted caretaker for her mother. Dorothy was a resident of Daytona Beach for 42 years having moved from Closter, New Jersey. She and her husband loved their years with so many friends in Daytona Beach. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
