Earl Krause, Jr., 94, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach.  He was born on July 23, 1926 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Viola and Earl Krause, Sr.  After graduation from High School in 1944 he was inducted into the Navy.  He always remembered taking Boot Camp at the Great Lakes with Jackie Cooper in his group in Fire Fighting Training.  After leaving school in St.  Louis, most of his tenure in the U.S. Navy was spent in the South Pacific.  After returning from the service, he married his high school sweetheart, Jean Warmkessel, and they were happily married for 74 years.  Earl played fast pitch softball in the Bi-State League, enjoyed fishing and was an ardent golfer.  For many years, Earl was a Foreman for Posh Construction, Inc. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  In 1979, together with his wife, they established Krause Rebar Service, Inc.  He was a member of Oceanside Country Club, Christ Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge 792 F & AM in Emmaus, Pennsylvania.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; sisters, Dawn Miller and Charlene Werkeiser; brother, Darrie Krause; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell, Keith and Frank Krause.
