Eleanor "Ellie"Finley, 100, of Port Orange peacefully passed away October 22, 2012 at the Port Orange Hospice Care Center. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 24th between the hours of 5-7 pm at Cardwell Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25th at 8:30 a.m. at our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
Eleanor was a parishioner at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women, she loved cooking and crocheting, and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Joyce (Frank) Ostendorf of Port Orange, FL, and Sister Janet Finley of the Order of Saint Francis in Lake Worth, FL, by a son, Edward (Lorraine) Finley of Franklin, TN, eight grandchildren , Kathi, Michele, Melissa, Mathew, Eddie, Karen, Diane, and Steven, as well as twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred and by her daughter, Shaaron Kush.
