Elizabeth "Betty" Lanning (82), recently of Daytona Beach, FL, went to be with the Lord Saturday night, September 12, 2020. She passed at Coastal Nursing Home after a prolonged illness.

Betty was born in Fair Haven, VT on June 26, 1938 to Frank and Edna Burns. She moved to Florida in 1959, where she worked for a bank and was a manager for 7-11 stores for many years. In 1972, she moved to South Carolina and married Ray Lanning the following year, in 1973.

Betty is predeceased by her husband, Ray Lanning, whom passed in 2009.

She is survived by 8 siblings: Mary O'Dell of Glen Falls, NY; Patricia Hughes of South Glen Falls, NY; Frances Hencken of Port Orange, FL; Helen Nelson of Port Orange, FL; Nancy Thompson of Port Orange, FL; Michael Burns of Clarkville, TN; Robert Burns of Huntsville, AL; John Burns of Orlando, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews whom Betty loved and adored.

A visitation for Betty will be held at Cardwell, Baggett & Summers Funeral Home in South Daytona on Friday, September 18, 2020, at 10am, with a service at 11am, followed by a burial at Shady Rest Cemetery in Holly Hill at 12:30pm.
