Ella Mae (Ellie) Coleman of New Smyrna Beach passed away on June 27, 2024.  She was born on January 9, 1938 in Pikeville, KY to Edd and Elona Damron.  She graduated from Virgie High School in Pikeville, KY and she was a marjorette.

Ellie was an avid knitter who loved to make quilts for friends and family.  She loved the beach and traveling with family and friends.  Ellie's life purpose was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved country music and dancing.  Ellie was a long-time grocery associate in the produce department.

Ellie is survived by three sons, Jeffery (Kareen) Coleman, Trace (Nicole) Coleman, Edward (Sheri) Coleman; and Seven Grandchildren and Five Great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by five sisters and one brother and a special friend, Bill Manning.  She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and many loving friends.  A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 1:00pm at Cardwell Baggett and Summers Funeral Home.  301 Big Tree Rd. S. Daytona.
