Emory A. Turner, 89, passed away on August 18, 2013. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 7:00 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127. Emory was born in 1924 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Guy and Daisy Turner. Emory moved to the Port Orange area in 1957. He later retired from the water utility department for the City of Port Orange after 23 years. Emory was the beloved husband of the late Emma Turner for 62 years, loving father of David (Judy) Turner, caring grandfather of Richard (Michelle) Turner, Robert (Tara) Turner, and great-grandfather of Paige Marie, Tyler, Hunter, Devon, and Nicholas. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Emory's name to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
