Eugene L. Greer III, age 82, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1943 in Chester, PA where he was raised and where he attended St. James High School. He lived for many years in Claymont, DE. He was a retiree of the Philadelphia Steamfitters Local 420, working in the HVAC trade. 

Gene loved to play his guitar and sing. He was also a photography buff. He lived briefly in Tampa, FL, Aston, PA, Port St. Lucie, FL and Wildwood Crest, NJ before moving to Port Orange, FL.

Gene is predeceased by his parents Eugene L. Greer II and Julia (McHale) Greer, and his sisters Judith Trosino and Bernadette "Bunny" Babicki. 

Gene is survived by his wife Jean Roman Greer of Wildwood Crest, NJ; daughters Nelli Kieffer (Alan) of Daytona Beach, FL, Linda Wedin of Cadiz, KY and Kathleen Greer of New Castle, DE; son Eugene L. Greer IV (Anne) of Claymont, DE; stepdaughter Lisa Travascio (Dennis) of Wildwood Crest, NJ; stepson Randall Owen (Meredith) of Austin, TX, 4 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
