Eugene A. LaBuda , 83, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 7, 1930 to John and Mary LaBuda. Eugene lived in Ormond Beach for 17 years, prior to Florida he lived in Chicago. Predeceased in death are his parents, Dolores LaBuda, his wife of 62 years; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his four children: Linda Sustich (Ron), Sandra Brazis (Arnie), Tom, and Carol Driscoll (Mark), grandchildren: Troy and Trent Sustich, Eric (Allie) Brazis , Nicole (Danny) Stein, Jennifer LaBuda, Kristen and Jason Driscoll. Eugene is a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He had a career in grocery, art supply, and manufacturing business. He spent his early retirement driving vans for disabled adults also working food service in the public schools. Eugene loved to sing, joke with everyone and he was an avid Chicago Sports fan. In most recent years, he cared for his loving wife who preceded him in death by 19 days. He enjoyed attending and worshiping at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he is a member. He will be greatly missed by all as we cherish our memories. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174 to be followed by inurnment at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach .
