Gary L. Grubbs, 59, of Port Orange, Florida, went home to be with our Lord on June 15, 2012. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 7:00 P.M at Cardwell Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL 32129. Gary's family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Gary was born on August 14, 1952 in Sarasota, Florida. Gary was well known for his expertise in boat building, automobile, and marine mechanics of any kind. Gary's big heart and generosity reached out to his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered by his two children; Robert Grubbs and Melanie (Chris) Tomlinson, both of Port Orange. Grandchildren; Christopher and Marlie Tomlinson. Mother; Freda Grubbs of Port Orange. Brother; Captain Tad (Susan) Grubbs of Marathon, Florida. Sister; Gwen McDowell of Port Orange. Nephew; Captain David (Lisa) Grubbs of Port Orange, children; Taylor and Allyson, nephew: Jason McDowell of Port Orange. Niece; Erin Martin of Mississippi, children; Sydney, and Millie.
