Obituary

Gerald A. Cawley March 24, 1933 - December 8, 2015 Gerald (Gerry) was born in The Bronx to Catherine Ruane and Patrick Cawley. He was one of eight children, all of whom have predeceased him. Gerry served his country proudly in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband to Catherine Reynolds. A loving and devoted father to his four wonderful children Gerald (Margaret), Michael (Mary), Elizabeth (Frank Feney), and Jean (Don Stiller). A proud, devoted and loving Grand-Father to his six grandchildren Nicole, Kelly, Colleen, Matthew, Nicolas and Jamie. Gerry retired from The New York Transit and moved to Florida in 1989. He was a loyal member of A.A and Recovery Inc. He was a devoted Catholic, strong in his faith. Gerry also loved life, loved listening to music, dancing, telling jokes, playing cards and just having a good time. Gerry was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan. He will be missed. A viewing will be held at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5-8 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Basilica of St. Paul at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2015 with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
