Geraldine of Port Orange, Florida passed peacefully on October 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Geraldine was born in Elmira, New York on May 2, 1932, daughter of the late John and Lenora Regan. Geraldine is survived by son Joseph (Kathi) Coleman of Elmira, New York; daughters Eileen Curren of Elmira, New York; Mary Anne Colemand and Kathy Lunduski of Port Orange, Florida. Her grandchildren Richard Schillo, Keri (Jeremy) Schillo, Chris (Bridget) Schillo, Mark (Yuki) Schillo, Andrew (Melissa) Coleman, Jason Lunduski and Sara (Travis) Durfee. Great grandchildren Zoe Lunduski, CJ Schillo, Emily Cook, Claire Schillo, Ella Durfee, MJ Schillo, Anthony Schillo, Camden and Ryker Coleman.
Geraldine was married to the late Paul Meiritz. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her grandson Matthew Joseph Coleman, sisters Ann (Richard) Thayer, Phyllis (Chauncey) Heckman, Theresa (Chuck) Ellis, Catherine (George) Smith, Mary (Francis) Mold, Jean (Wally) Fredericks, Helen (Donald) Larey. Brothers John (Barbara) Regan and Joseph (Eleanor) Regan. Sister-in-law Marjorie Meiritz. Former spouse and father of her children Joseph P. Coleman Jr.
Geraldine worked at FM Howell in Elmira, New York for many years before moving to Florida with her husband Paul. They enjoyed many years enjoying the beach, traveling and spent many nights dancing the nights away.
Geraldine was a kind and compassionate soul but her true gift in life was her passion to care for everyone. Her life was making sure everyone was cared for. She cared for Paul and Marjorie and many other elderly and sick people for many years. Her unconditional love and caring that she extended to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will live in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alfonzo McCollum for his many years of care and Halifax Hospice Care for their loving care and kindness.
