Geralynn Purvis, age 42, passed away suddenly on August 22nd, 2022 in Ormond Beach, Florida. She was born July 21st, 1980 in Derry, New Hampshire to Harry Ernest and Brenda Jo Wessell. She married Lonnie Purvis II in March of 2016. She worked for the Daytona Beach News Journal as a carrier for 10+ years. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend.

Her days were spent watching the sunrise on the beach and spending time with her loved ones. She will be forever missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

She is survived by her Husband Lonnie Purvis; Children Brenda (Jordan) Motley and Elyzabeth Tucker; Grandchildren Saige and Myles Motley; Mother Brenda Jo Wessel; Siblings Jeffrey, Amie, Tonya, and Norma; Uncle James McLauglin; Aunts, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is now reunited with her Father Harry Ernest Wessel; Uncles Allen Paquette and Mike DeCoursey; and Grandparents Barbara (Sinclair) and Gerald Layton.

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18.

It's hard to have faith when we lose someone we love so much, but how blessed we were to have that love for as long as we did. We are all just walking each other home on the journey called life. We should find peace in knowing that she is with the King of all Kings now. No pain, no suffering, no sickness, and no work. A beautiful place for a selfless, beautiful soul to be. We can only imagine the glorious feeling she must have to no longer endure this fallen world, and I bet she's already found the people she has longed to reunite with. As for us, this is not goodbye, it's until next time.
