Gertrude LaVerne Weaver, 86, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2014. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 10:00 A.M at First United Methodist Church of Port Orange, 305 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127. LaVerne loved to swim, socialize with others and worked on Election Day in Brunswick, Ohio. Most of all she was dedicated to the care and comfort of her family. LaVerne is preceded in death by her son, John W. Weaver and sister, Carolyn Robbins-Menneli. Those left to cherish LaVerne's memory is her husband of 67 years, Roy Weaver; daughter, Carole (the late Leonard J.) Tylicki; grandchildren, Martin Tylicki, John Tylicki, Katherine (Jason) Valore; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Sheri. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Port Orange.
