Obituary
Herbert Durgin, 86, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2014. Herbert was born in 1928 in Hopedale, Massachusetts to the late Harold and Ethel Durgin. He was a fire chief in Hopedale, Massachusetts for over 30 years, member of the Fire Chief's Association of Massachusetts, and member of the International Fire Chief's Association. Herbert relocated to Port Orange in 1986. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid reader. Those left to cherish Herbert's memory are his wife of 28 years, Eleanor; son, David (Deborah) Durgin; grandsons, Jonathan and Andrew; step-son Brad Marple.
