Obituary

Huel Wade Payne was born in Columbus, MS. Growing up, he spent lots of time with his Grandmother Missy, his aunts, his uncles and cousins in addition to his siblings. The family moved to Ohio when he was in high school where he graduated.

Wade joined the Marine Corps. He was based at Camp Lejeune, NC. He was very proud to serve his country and enjoyed his travels through Europe during his tour. After leaving the Marines, he returned to Ohio and married Beverly. They had 2 children, Michelle and Gary. Wade worked for Home Centers, working his way up from salesman to VP of Sales and Marketing. His career involved al o t of travel and moves as the company expanded from Ohio into Oregon and California.

After Wade retired, he moved to Florida. He went back into sales for fun. While working at Sears, he met and married Barbara and her 4 cats! Over the next few years, Wade began attending and became a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He attended the 8AM service where he was an usher. He was also active in the Men's Bible Study, Cursillo, and "GEMS"- - Grace Episcopal Men.

Wade was an avid golfer. He was competitive but had fun as well. In addition to playing golf, he worked at Daytona Beach Golf Course where he never knew a stranger!

Wade is survived by his children, Michelle and Gary; his grandchildren Ashley, Garrett and Brandon; his great grandchildren Macenzi and Arriana; his brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Cindy; his cats Tigger and Tiger; and his wife, Barbara.
