Mrs. Isabela Kolakowski Ladd passed away October 20, 2016 with her loving son by her side. Born on November 16, 1922 in Poland to Stanley and Maria Kolakowski, she was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother throughout her life. In her earlier years, she was head beautician at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in downtown Chicago and front-of-house floor manager and head waitress at Farman Hotel in Lake Zurich. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters Regina and Stella of Poland, Walter, Theodore, Stephen and Wanda of Illinois, and her husband Charles Ladd of Illinois. She is survived by her sister Barbara Kuska, her son John (Sharron) Ladd, her grandchildren Christopher Ladd, Jason Ladd, Jennifer Ladd, Amanda (Junior) Berry, Daniel Martz, Jeffrey Swindle, and Alex Swindle; her great-grandchildren Alexandra Ladd, Amber Ladd, Taryn Ladd, Jaydon Murphy, Jake Berry, and Gannon Martz; and great-great-children Niko Glos and Nevaeh Sweet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was happiest when surrounded by her loving family who knew her as "Nonnie" or "Ciocia Izia." She will be honored at a Catholic Mass at Our Lady of Hope in Port Orange, Florida on November 11th at 10:00am. She will also be honored at a mass at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Zurich, Illinois on December 10th at 10:00am. She and her husband were very active at St. Francis when they lived in Lake Zurich and were instrumental with fundraising when they began their Catholic school in 1956. Her son John attended 4th - 8th grades at this parish school. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest at Wauconda Cemetery in Wauconda, Illinois.
