James Franklin Curtis Sr., 81, of Edgewater Florida departed this world for heaven on August 17, 2020 at Advent Health, New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

He was born November 3, 1938 in Eaton County, Michigan to Clarence and Ruth (Foote) Curtis.

Jim served his country in the United States Marine Reserve.  He worked at E.W. Bliss and D & S Machine Repair in Hastings, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers John and Duane (Paula) Curtis, and sisters Beatrice Self, Delores Gardner.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years Marilyn (Babcock), his two children Lorie Curtis Gladyness, Jim (Brenda) Curtis, special daughter Kim Tacker Murphy, four grand-children Joe (Sarrah) Johnson, Andrew Johnson & Holly Smith-Hoffman, James (Stephanie) Curtis, Benjamin Curtis, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Hastings, Michigan at a later date.
