James Dusty Farmer, 75 years of age, Born April 8, 1949, Passed April 12, 2024. Dusty passed away at his home in Ormond Beach, Fl.

The son of the late J.C. and Virginia McCroskey Farmer, Dusty was born in Stephens County, GA where he spent his early years. He moved to Florida as a young adult and spent the rest of his life enjoying the sun and ocean. He worked for Allstar Building in Ormond for over 20 years. Then in his later years he worked at Flagler County Surplus and Salvage Build Materials LLC. Dusty was a charismatic salesman who leaves behind many friends in the area. He was a very devoted grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandson. He was the eldest of 12 siblings and always tried to be there for everyone in his family. He will be greatly missed by many.

Dusty was preceded in death by his sister Glenda Garner, niece Tonya Simpson, second wife Dorothy Farmer and their daughter Christi Farmer. He is survived by his daughter Bobbie Jo Wade of Brookings, OR, his granddaughter Tobey Lynn Wade of Hartwell, GA, his grandson Kyle DeWitt Tischler of North Dakota, his great grandson Reed Avery Brandel, sisters Judy Cole of Canton, GA, Deborah Torres of Clarksville, GA, Anita Farmer of Commerce, GA, Teresa Smith of Martin, GA, Connie Jenkins of Clarksville, GA, Lori Gates of Clermont, GA, brothers Roger Farmer of Kathleen, GA, Don Farmer of Pensacola, FL, Jeff Farmer of Toccoa, GA, John Farmer of Canon, GA.

The family is planning a celebration of life that will be held in Georgia in 2025.
