Jesse Jonner Maxey JR, 85 of Palm Coast, FL passed away on August 9th. He was born on December 15th in Oak Hill Florida to Jesse Jonner Maxey SR and Ferrel Montgomery Maxey.

Jesse graduated from Mainland Highschool in Daytona Beach FL. He then went to work in the Airforce as a radar operator, then to Dandy Bread and finally at the City of Ormond Beach. He worked at the city as a building maintenance supervisor until he retired. Once retired he worked as a crossing guard at Granada and South Ridgewood Ave for Ormond Beach Elementary. He met the love of his life in Holly Hill. They only dated for one month and were married. It was just meant to be. Their 59th anniversary was January 2nd, 2024.

Jesse loved fishing from the pier, from the shore or anywhere you could fish from. He loved fishing with family the most. He always talked about the fishing trip to Alaska with his grandchildren. He was in a camping club, bowling group and was a season Gator ticket holder. Over his retirement years he was more famous for the "Maxey Taxi". Where he took his grandchildren to and from school.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen, his parents, as well as sister Beulah Funderburke.

Jesse is survived by his daughter Teresa (Walter) Monroe, nieces Kari (Dennis) Lynch and Marci (Greg) Beiser, grandchildren Emily (Mark) Gonzales, Nickolas (Loralee) Monroe, Ellyn Jewitt, Elizabeth Monroe, Luke Beiser, Nate Beiser, Gabrielle Monroe, Sean Lynch, Grace Beiser great grandchildren Julian Hastings, Paisley Monroe, Lenox Monroe, Maci Petrin, Bexley Monroe.

The family will be having a service at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
