John Aitken, 81 of Ponce Inlet passed away peacefully on January 3, 2014. Mr. Aitken moved to Ponce Inlet from Vero Beach two years ago and previously lived in the greater New York City and Southern Connecticut Area. For his entire working life, Mr. Aitken was very active in the commercial real estate industry in New York City, throughout New England and across the country. He was an avid skier, golfer and adventure seeker and in his retired years he traveled extensively with his wife Kathy who predeceased him in 2010. John is survived by his sons, John, (Barbara) of Ponce Inlet FL, Thomas (Molly) of Wellesley, MA and three grandchildren, Jack, Lindsay and Christopher. Late in life Mr. Aitken rescued a Golden Retriever who became his constant companion.
