John Raymond Bransky, 90, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away on August 21, 2015 in Longwood, FL. A Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday August 26, 2015 in the Chapel at Cardwell Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday August 27, 2015 at The Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, FL 32129 with Reverend John Bosco Maison officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Woodland Cemetery, Port Orange, FL. John was born in Lechrone, PA on June 18, 1925 and moved to this area in 1988 from Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Oct. 1943 to June 1946, 324th Troop Carrier Squadron in Fort Dix, NJ. He was a radio operator, mechanic, transported troops and code and decoded messages in England, France, Belgium, Austria & Germany. John went St. Vincent College and then went on to Graduate from Waynesburg College with a bachelor in science in 1951. He was a sales manager for over 35 years. He was an active member of The Catholic Church of the Epiphany where he served as head usher. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Help Center and the voting polls. John was an avid gardener. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. Survivors include his children, Cheri (Don) Macher of Longwood, FL, Allison (Terry) Wilkins of Seminole, FL, Ellen (Bill) Graeb of N. Chelmsford, MA, Rob (Kathy) Bozsan of Boerne, TX and Brad (Deborah) Bozsan of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth (Daniel), Jeffrey, Jason (Sony), Aaron, Joshua, Gentry, Ryan, and Zachary; Great-grandchildren, Grace and Crystal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; his grandson, Sean Macher; sons, Jeffrey and Billy. Memorial Donations may be made in his honor to The Sean Macher Memorial Scholarship, in memory of his loving grandson, C/O, All Souls Catholic School, 810 S. Oak Ave., Sanford, FL 32771.
