Joseph R. Poirier, 94, passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 8, 2014. Joseph was born in 1920 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII and was involved in the Normandy invasion. He enjoyed baseball, football, and was a member of the VFW and the Elks #65. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Yvonne Corrigan, Randall Poirier, Robert Poirier; step-daughters, Michele Charest and Dyan Doucette; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
