Karen Colette Maxey, 81 of Palm Coast, FL passed away on December 31st, 2023. She was born on August 4th, in Cleveland Ohio to Maxwell H Krugman and Elinor (Hall) Krugman.

Karen graduated from Seabreeze Highschool in Ormond Beach, FL. She then went to work as an operator for Bell South. She worked with them and AT&T until she retired. She met the love of her life in Holly Hill. They only dated for one month and were married. It was just meant to be. Their 59th anniversary was January 2nd, 2024.

Being with family was the top priority for Karen. Whether it was the camping club, bowling or running her own child around in her younger years. Trips to Alaska with the grandchildren. The Block Island Ferry or going to Disney and the water parks in her older years. She loved to go to the beach and enjoy the sun with loved ones. She loved to volunteer over her retirement years at her daughters' daycare.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as sister Marilyn Jones.

Karen is survived by her husband Jesse J Maxey Jr., brother Clayton Krugman, daughter Teresa (Walter) Monroe, nieces Kari (Dennis) Lynch and Marci (Greg) Beiser, grandchildren Emily (Mark) Gonzales, Nikolas (Loralee) Monroe, Ellen Jewitt, Elizabeth Monroe, Luke Beiser, Nate Beiser, Gabrielle Monroe, Sean Lynch, Grace Beiser, great grandchildren Julian Hastings, Paisley Monroe, Lenox Monroe, Maci Petrin, and Bexley Monroe.

The family will be having a celebration of life on February 3rd.
