Karl R. Wendorf, 85, of Port Orange, Florida passed to the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2015. He was born in Oakland, Nebraska to Carl and Edna Wendorf on November 22, 1929. He grew up in West Point Nebraska and graduated from Oakland High School, 1947 then attended Kemper Military Academy in Boonesville, Mo and served in R.O.T. C. Karl enlisted in the US Army where he attained the rank of Captain and also graduated from the William P. Hood School of complete baking at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in complete bakery course. He worked for Peavey Flour Company and Brokay Products selling to and doing technical work for bakeries from Maine to Rhode Island. Together with his wife Beverly, he owned & operated Wendorf Clover Leaf Bakery in Sheridan, Wy. Karl, also, worked as a Security Guard for Pinkerton in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He was employed as Security Officer for the City of Manchester, NH at City Hall and was security night supervisor for Huntleigh Corp at the Manchester, NH Airport. He worked several security officer duties in the Daytona Beach area for Allied Securities and Alliegent Security until his retirement in 2010 due to ill health. Survived by Beverly Wendorf, his wife of 33 years, Sons: Robert (Heather)Wendorf, Worecester, MA, Thomas (Erin) Wendorf, Dayville, CT, Stephen Wendorf, Grafton, MA, Stepdaughters: Tricia Reynolds, Ft. Myers, Fl.; Sheila (Jack) McLaughlin, Palm City, Fl.; Stepsons: Michael (Cynthia) Neary, Fitchburg,MA; Sean Neary, White Deer, PA; Kevin Neary,Nashua,NH; Grandson: Matthew Wendorf; A Sister, Jean Robinson of Ormond Beach, FL; Granddaughters: Ashley, Kirstie, Elissa, Abigail, Mara, Theresa, Jennifer, Caitlin, and Kellie. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Fl 32129. Celebration of Life will be at a later date with interment in Brookline NH where he made his home for many years.
