Kathryn Perry Brother, age 79, of Daytona Beach, Fl., departed peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Kathryn was born in Lexington, Ky, September 19, 1946, first child to Joseph Richart Brother and Pauline Smith Brother.
When she was about 5 yrs old, the family of 4, including baby sister Patricia, moved to Fl, where she attended San Mateo Elementary.
The family grew to include sisters Merry and Paulette. In 1957, they moved to Daytona Beach, Fl. Kathryn attended Lenox Ave Elementary, then Seabreeze High School through her Junior year.
The family moved to Atlanta, Ga, in 1963. Kathryn attended and graduated from Druid Hills High School in 1964. She continued her higher education at Georgia Baptist Hospital - School of Nursing. Graduating in 1967. Kathryn practiced as a Registered Nurse in many specialized areas of hospital medicine during her nursing career, loving direct patient care the most.
Kathryn's loving, caring, generous personality was evident in her personal life. Her parents, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and "chosen family" of life-long friends were held closest to her heart and gave special purpose during her life. Kathryn was a classy, intelligent, vibrant woman with a childlike heart... ready for fun, adventures, and celebrations of all life events with her loved ones.
Kathryn also had a strong love of nature and all animals, which was evident by her many pets over her lifetime. She was the best "forever home" to all those pets that were "chosen" or "happened" into her care. She also fed all the wild-life in her neighborhood too, and had a strong love of horses and all farm life in Ky... and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan!

A Family Graveside service for Kathryn will be held at Daytona Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ric May presiding.
