Leslie C. Fowler, passed away on Friday , October 31, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Cowden, Illinois on March 11, 1920 to Isaac and Eliza Fowler. Survived in death by his wife, Delvia Fowler of 68 years, his daughter, Susan Campbell(Michael Farrah) of Ormond Beach, Fl. , Son, David (Anita)Fowler of Orlando, Fl.; grandchildren: Levi Campbell, Daina (Christopher) Everett, Christopher ( Christine) Fowler, and Megan (Brian)Pierce. Great-grandchildren: Chandler Everett, Gavin Everett, Gunner Everett, Cooper Fowler, Colton Pierce and Jaxon Pierce. Leslie served our country in the Navy from 1940-1960, retiring WWII Veteran as Chief Gunners Mate. He worked on the Pershing Missile Group for 9 years at Martin Maretta . He was in the Civil Service for 10 years at Naval Station, Mayport, Fl. as part of the Gunnery Support Group. He loved to garden and watch things grow along with feeding and watching the birds and all animals. He loved his beautiful wife and family with all his heart. He will never be forgotten as we will hold him in our hearts forever. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2010 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, Florida, 32174 from 11:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Halifax Health Hospice, 3800Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Fl. 32129.
