Margaret Young Bullard, 96, died peacefully on April 7, 2013. A funeral mass will be held on Friday April 12, 2013 at 8:30 A.M at Our Lady of Hope, 4675 S Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, FL 32129. Maggie was born on December 19, 1916 in Proctor, VT to Agnes and Robert Young. Though small in stature, Maggie was mighty in her faith, her intelligence, her wit and her love of other people. She mesmerized us with stories of her family, especially her grandfather who arrived from Ireland on a boat in New York City and was greeted at the employment office that read "Irish Catholics Need Not Apply Here." Not to be thwarted, he made his way to Proctor, VT where he worked in the marble quarry, met and married his wife and together they raised nine children. Such was Maggie's stock. She was a survivor who survived the Depression, the death of her first husband, Joseph L. Tuepah, and the death of her beloved husband of forty years Deforest Bullard. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Betty Royal, of Prescott, AZ, her dear friends Sheila and Bill Ross of Fly Creek, NY and by countless other friends, all of whom will miss her.
