Margaret Anna Marcolese, 91, of DeLand, Fl, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Ormond Beach, Fl at The Pines Assisted Living Facility. As an only child, she was born in Kassel, Germany on June 18, 1924 to John and Dorothea (Arndt) Hartmann. In 1926 she traveled with her parents and settled in Jersey City, NJ where she grew up. Margaret graduated from Henry Snyder High School, During the year of 1945, she married Clifford Lidstrom and they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Kathy Ellen, who pre-deceased Margaret in 2009. Her contributions to the community blossomed in 1975 as an active member of The Masonic Chapter of the Eastern Star #38 of Hardyston Township, NJ. She was employed for many years as an accountant for the Don Page Agency. The knowledge she gained working there, helped her become an ARRP tax aide volunteer, being awarded in 1994-1995 by the IRS. In 1989 she served as President of the DeLand Chapter of the Association of Widowed Persons. She was a member of the Young at Heart Dance Club, where she married William P. Marcolese in 1990, and remained married until his passing this year. Both Margaret and William were active members and officers in the DeLand AARP Chapter, as well as volunteers at the Florida Hospital Cancer Survival Group. Margaret's hobbies included traveling, gardening, and her work with Roots and Branches Genealogy Society. She is survived by son, Robert (Claudia) Marcolese of The Village of Marvin, NC; granddaughter, Kimberly Kelly; great-granddaughter, Jordyn Kelly and great grandson, Vincent Cooper of Hampton, Virginia.
