Obituary

Margaret "Marge" Rovegno was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and moved to Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y. when she was 1 year old. Marge drove a school bus for Starlite bus company from 1973 to 1979, where she met and married her co-worker, Louis Rovegno. They moved to Holly Hill, FL in August of 1979, just in time for Hurricane David. In 1980, Marge and Louie opened Ace Hobbies, and turned it into a thriving business which helped them to form many friendships. In 1996, Marge and Louie sold the hobby shop, and officially retired. They purchased an RV, and began to travel  all over the country--the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas were Marge's favorite places. Marge and Lou belonged to 2 RV camping groups---the Suwanee Valley Vagabonds and the Good Timers, which also lead to many special friendships. Marge was a former treasurer of the Daytona Beach Radio Control Association, and was the Queen of The Uptown Broads Red Hat Society group. Marge had 3 children-Paul Gutter of Columbus, MT, Doris "Dusty" Smith(deceased), and Colleen Grinnell, Milford, MI.

Marge loved to knit and crochet, and made many projects over the years. She especially enjoyed knitting hooded baby sweaters, which she began doing in 1960. She has a photo album containing pictures of each baby wearing the sweater that she made for them. There are over 105 photos in the album.
Marge wants everyone to know the following:
"The things I will miss the most are my husband, Lou---we had lots of memories, both good and bad. I will miss my daughter, Colleen---she has always been my best friend.  I will miss all of the wonderful friends I have made over the years, including the members of U.B.I.C. Church. And, I will miss my kitties. I would have liked more time, but I am happy with the life I've had, and all the things I have seen and done."
