IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Sylvia
Zablo
March 9, 1941 – January 22, 2024
Peggy Zablo, born Margaret Sylvia Duffy, passed away in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on January 22, 2024. Peggy was 82.
Peggy was the first born child of Glyen and Dorothy Duffy. Her younger brother is Jim Duffy.
In 1958, Peggy was wed to Carl Zablo. Their ten-year marriage produced four children: Craig, Brent, Jill and Holly.
When Peggy's parents retired they moved from Terre Haute, Indiana to Holly Hill, Florida. They invited Peggy and her children to join them. So when school let out for the summer of '73, Peggy and her four children moved to Florida. Peggy worked in the hotel industry as a desk clerk and in reservations. She closed out her career as an office specialist for Volusia Memorial.
Peggy's passion was spending time with her family. She spent countless hours with her children going to movies, out to dinner or on weekend getaways. Peggy especially loved vacation trips and cruises with her kids.
As her family grew, Peggy became "Grandma Peggy". She loved taking her grandchildren on day trips to the movies, zoo or park. Even better was when she could get several for a sleepover at Grandma Peggy's house. They would play games, eat a fun meal (and too many snacks), stay up late and finish the night with one of Grandma Peggy's famous milkshakes.
Grandma Peggy loved getting the family together for holidays or just dinner. Her house was always available for any family member needing a place to stay. She was excited when some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren moved in with her.
Peggy Zablo is survived by her four children and their spouses: Craig & Doralya Zablo, Brent & Trish Zablo, Jill and Bobby Shaw and Holly and Gerardo Gonzaga. Peggy was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Peggy loved laughing and having fun. Nothing was better than spending time with her family and friends. Peggy had a loving, caring heart and compassion for all.
Peggy requested that she have no calling hours. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the charity of your choice.
