Marguerite E. (Sands) Dixon, 94, of Port Orange passed away on August 2nd, 2012 from natural causes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Dixon; her parents, William E. and Mabel V. (Morris) Sands of Port Orange; the former owners of Sands Fish & Oryster Market in Port Orange; her son, James E. Dixon of Daytona Beach; and her grandson, James Dixon. She is survived by her brother, William E. Sands, Jr.; her children: Sandra (Dixon) Chambers (S. Daytona); Dalia (Dixon) Travis (Port Orange); Thomas A. Dixon (Key West); daughter-in-law Juanita Dixon (Port Orange); Grandchildren: Donna (Dixon) Thompson (California); Richard Dixon (Port Orange); Lazenda Villareal (Ohio); Toye (Travis) Coxe (Winter Park); Trina (Dixon) Jackson (Virginia); Great Grandchildren: David Dixon; Ronald Thompson; Michael Thompson; Thomas Ruffenach; Terrace Coxe; Charlie Coxe; & Great Great Grandchild: River Thompson. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday August 31st, 2012, at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home, 736 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach. The family will receive friends and family between 6-7p.m., with services at 7pm.
